IV Therapy

Government studies show the population as a whole has inadequate intake of major nutrients, and actual deficiencies are common. Malnutrition for whatever reason aggravates the severity of many clinical conditions and in many cases is the primary source of a patient’s illness.

There are many patients who have poor gastrointestinal function and are unable to absorb nutrients even though they are eating a good diet. There are also patients with gut sensitivities that cannot tolerate oral vitamin and mineral supplementation. For these patients, IV therapy is a solution that gives the immune system a boost. A list of severe medical problems is listed where IV therapy is particularly helpful.

IV therapy is extremely safe, and severe reactions are extremely unusual. The formula of the IV solution is individually prepared depending on the illness being treated.

Conditions That Can Be Helped Or Cured

The IV Experience

A basic IV is usually inserted into a vein in the arm or hand. The fluid runs through the IV for approximately 1-1/2 hours. The IV is administered in a relaxing environment with comfortable recliners. Feel free to bring a book, read a magazine, or watch television during this time.

Every IV is specially formulated for the individual needs of the patient. Here is a list of some of the vitamins and minerals that may be included in the Basic IV: Vitamin C, Vitamin B-Complex, Calcium, Folic acid, magnesium, chloride, selenium, zinc, copper, manganese, chromium, and taurine.

Consult the physician for your IV.

Post-Chemotherapy

Chemotherapy is designed to destroy malignant cells but also takes its toll on the basic immune system and normal cells. High dose vitamin and mineral supplementation IV following chemotherapy can greatly reduce the post-treatment symptoms which can be severe.

Macular Degeneration

Macular degeneration is a genetically inherited disease that slowly destroys the eye, leaving most patients with blindness. The dry type of macular degeneration has no active treatment other then vitamin and mineral supplementation. In the past, this has been given orally routinely by ophthalmologists, but we have found that the same supplements given IV results in marked improvement. Obviously, we cannot restore sight to the far advanced case, but we can hopefully prevent the progression of mild and moderate cases. Treatments are given twice a week for three to four weeks and then weekly with a recheck by your ophthalmologist in two to three months.

Parkinson's Disease

Parkinson’s disease can be greatly improved by intravenous reduced glutathione. Unfortunately, oral ingestion of glutathione does not result in any improvement and slow infusion also does not work. A quick IV push of glutathione, however, can result in marked reduction of symptoms. Unfortunately, the effect is not long lasting and injections must be given twice a week to retain improvement.
